Michael J. Hughes, CPA is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting in 2002. He has been a member of the firm since 2005.
In addition to individual tax engagements, trusts, and estates, he offers both accounting and tax services for corporations and partnerships in a variety of industries including professional service firms, retailers, real estate development and construction. Michael enjoys working closely with clients and their bookkeeping staffs to review and maintain accounting records, as well as the year ending closing process.
Michael is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and is proficient in Sage and many other business-related computer programs. He enjoys assisting clients with the implementation and follow up support for these programs.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also active in the Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Irish Cultural Centre of New England in Canton, MA.
